Published by Edition MAT in 1959 which was the brainchild of Daniel Spoerri and Karl Gerstner.
This is the first of the series of many to come of these famous hand cut books. The idea was to take an original art piece from an artist to to reproduce it in a series.
The idea Dieter came up with was so hard to reproduce that Dieter was asked to make them himself as they received orders. The records show he made only 33 copies of this book aa and copies are very rare thus.

This is the copy no. 28 with his fingerprint and dated Sept. 60. DR. CW. 20 n. 4. [ 1709].

He introduces Roth in 1948 to the technique of dry point engraving, and it is through him that they are able to use artist Rudolf Mumprecht's printing press, where Roth makes his early prints.
